Part of the challenge of this game is to not only solve the puzzles, find the treasures, and get out alive, but to also discover how to do this. While it can be frustrating at times, finding the right combination of words or tasks will be necessary to successfully navigate the maze and live to enjoy your plundered treasures.

The basic commands I have already noted on the main page, but I will repeat them here for your benefit.

• Compass Points: N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW
• Up or just U, Down or just D, In, Out
• Take, Get, Drop, Eat, Feed, Drink, On, Off, Look
• Open, Lock, Unlock
• Kill, Attack, Throw
• Inventory, Save, Resume

There are some short cuts through the cave as well. From certain rooms you can simply use the name of the room you want to go to.

• Bedquilt - from the Dirty Broken Passage, the Room Full of Dusty Rocks, and several adjacent rooms
• Slab - from Bedquilt, this will take you directly to the Slab room.
• Plover - from Y2 you can go directly to the Plover room. From the Plover room, this will take you directly to Y2 (you can't spirit the emerald out of there this way, however).
